History of Neuro-modulators

Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau, Xeomin and now Daxxify joins the family of FDA approved neuromodulators to minimize wrinkles caused by muscle contraction. Botox has been used since the late 1970’s to reduce facial wrinkles by blocking signals released by nerves to cause muscle contraction. Over the the years we’ve had several other neuromodulators Dysport, Jeuveau, and Xeomin enter the aesthetic world. All of these “Botox-like” products (neuromodulators) use Botulinumtoxin type A to implement their effectiveness and last 3-4 months, safely and effectively. Daxxify also (botulinum toxin type A) however has a much longer duration of 6 months for most people and 9 months for some.
